History  intelligent views was founded in 1997 as a spin-off from the FhG-IPSI (Fraunhofer Gesellschaft Information and Publications Systems Institute), and has been operating successfully on the market ever since. Our "starting capital" included, amongst other things, prototypes of today's intelligent views products. These prototypes combined research results in the fields of Knowledge Representation, Semantic Networks and Visualization, and revealed a new dimension to structuring, searching for and presenting information.

In particular, experience gained in the fields of semantics, web-based visualization, co-operative work and user interaction flowed into our first release in 1999. K-Infinity has thus developed into a mature, reliable product: in its numerous projects over the course of 5 major releases, it has displayed enormous power and flexibility in very diverse sectors and fields of application. Today, intelligent views continues to profit from close co-operation with the world of research in areas such as user interaction, collaborative filtering, e-learning, etc.

In order to maintain our high standard, the technology platform K-Infinity is continuously being developed further to meet the changing demands of the market and continually extend, and not just maintain, our technological advantage.
